Frequently asked questions

Why there is no login data in the app?

There are two criteria, that needs to be true in order to get the login data also in the app. This are that the user connected needs to be a system admin and that the plan in question has to be either business or enterprise. We can not get login data for pro plans.

There can be multiple system admins in the account. But you can find at least one in the Plan settings. In the Smartsheet, go to Navigation Bar, select Account > Plan Info and check Main Contact and Contact Email.

You can check the plan also in the Plan settings. Go to Navigation Bar, select Account > Plan Info or Plan & Billing Info. In the Account Administration dialog, check the Plan section.

How can I see, which users are licensed users?

Licensed users are the ones, that have the ability to create and own sheets. We show this users in the app by adding the Licensed user indication in their role. You can filter to only this users, by searching for this string in the service members search bar.

Why do all the users have the Viewer role?

The Smartsheet API only provides the information about the licensed users and their admin status to the system admin users. If the user authenticating through the OAuth is not a system admin, we can not get this information, so we only show the Viewer as the role. If you wish to have this data, then please connect the service with the account, that has the system admin permissions.

You can find at least one system admin of the account in the Plan settings. In the Smartsheet, go to Navigation Bar, select Account > Plan Info and check Main Contact and Contact Email.
