Alerts are proactive notifications that inform users about events in SMP and can be configured in this section for the different use cases.

Renewal alerts

When adding new contracts into SMP, you will have the possibility to add Renewals alert for each individual contracts. If not, SMP will use a default Renewal alert settings define one the Workspace. In this section you can define when and whom should get these defaults renewal alerts.

Renewal alerts settings can be set up by users with Admin rights. They can access the settings by going to Settings. Under Settings click on Alerts and then on the Service discovery alerts tab. After that define how many days before the renewal date you would like SMP to send renewals (here is 90 days). Then define who should receive this notification by typing desired user the name(s).

Users can also access Renewal alerts settings under Service Overview after clicking on the Contract tab. When Creating or editing a contract for a Service, you will under the section 4 "Renewal alerts edit the alert timeline (1) and setup the numbers alerts needed clicking on "+Add renewal alert"(2).

Service discovery alerts

Service discovery alerts are notifications that inform recipients about new discoveries in the Service discovery. The recipients will be notified about new discoveries that have already been matched and added to the repository, and about discoveries that need manual review. The notification to recipients will be through email and will be triggered on a daily basis.

Service discovery alerts settings can be set up by users with Admin rights. They can access the settings by going to Settings. Under Settings click on Alerts and then on the Service discovery alerts tab.

Users can also access the same page by visiting Service discovery under the Services tab and then clicking on the Alerts icon in the top right corner.

Then add the required recipients from the drop-down menu.

Click Save and you are ready to receive alerts whenever new services are discovered.
