Instructions

The integration requires a person connecting it to have either a server or site administrator role. It also assumes that the user does not require SSO to log in or have the MFA required when logging in.

Get Site Information

  1. Login to your Tableau instance. Remember the credentials that you used for login, as this will be needed to connect Tableau with LeanIX SMP.
  2. Check the URL of the site. It is going to be in the form of <<https://DOMAIN-URL/#/site/SITE-NAME/home>>. Remember the DOMAIN-URL and SITE-NAME parts, as this will be needed to connect Tableau with LeanIX SMP.

In case of the default site, the site name part can be empty. In this case, leave the field empty when putting in credentials.

Configure Tableau integration in LeanIX SMP

  1. Log into LeanIX SMP and navigate to Tableau settings (https://us-si.leanix.net/#/service/Tableau/settings/ or https://eu-si.leanix.net/#/service/Tableau/settings/)
  2. Click on the Integrate button and fill out the form with appropriate credentials from step 1.1 and 1.2:
    1. Tableau Username (step 1.1)
    2. Tableau Password (step 1.1)
    3. Tableau domain URL (step 1.2 - DOMAIN-URL part)
    4. Tableau site name (step 1.2 - SITE-NAME part - can be empty)
  3. Click Integrate button
