Pricing Google Workspace pricing is based on number of users. Note that suspended users are included in the price, too.

Instructions

In this document, we will provide instructions for configuring Google Workspace to enable LeanIX SMP to retrieve usage data.

Please connect the Google Workspace service, in order to get the information about all the Google Worksapce products.

Make sure the user have the right permissions

In order to connect the Google as a manage integration, the user would need to be an admin. They would need to have the following Admin permissions:

  • Admin Console Remissions

    • Organizational Units: Read
    • Users: Read
    • Reports
  • Admin API Permissions

    • Organizational Units: Read
    • Users: Read
    • Schema management: Schema Read
    • License management: License Read
    • Billing management: Billing Read

Configure Google Workspace integration in LeanIX SMP

  1. Log into LeanIX SMP and navigate to Google Workspace
  2. Click on Authorize button
  3. Choose the google account that you would like to track in LeanIX SMP.
  4. Review permissions and click Allow
  5. Click Integrate

Frequently asked questions?

We used to see licenses in usage. Why can we no longer see them?

The data source that we have been using to get licenses only returns them if they are pre-Google Workspace licenses. So licenses form the time when Google Workspace was still called Google Apps.

Since these licenses are not longer used by almost anybody, we decided to remove this usage.
